Umtwalume and East Walpole
We are very pleased to confirm that the Umtwalume
Circuit and the Union Congregational Church, of East Walpole, will be
‘matched’ as participating churches to explore the sharing and connecting of
our respective lives as churches.
East Walpole is a congregation of
the Massachusetts Conference of the United Church of Christ, with about 200
members, located in the town of Walpole in the eastern part of the state of
Massachusetts, which is in the northeastern part of the United States of
America.
The Umtwalume Circuit is a
congregation of the KwaZulu-Natal Region of the United Congregational Church
of Southern Africa, a circuit of about 300 members gathering at ten worship
points, including the ‘mother church’ at the original Umtwalume Mission,
which has about 80 members. Umtwalume is located in the south coastal area
of the province of KwaZulu-Natal, which is on the east, Indian Ocean coast
of the Republic of South Africa
